What are the chemical components of Sophora flavescens

Matrine Sophora flavescens

Chemical composition

As early as the early 1930s, the Soviet Union began to study it abroad, and China began in 1972. The focus of research at home and abroad is on alkaloids. The alkaloids extracted, separated and identified from Sophora flavescens plants in China mainly include oxymatrine (C15H24N2O2), matrine (C15H24N2O), isomatrine (Iosmatrine, C15H24N2O), hydroxymatrine (sophor-anol), sophocarpine (C15H22N2O), N-oxysophocarpine (C15H22N2O2), sophoramine, sophoridine (Sophoridine, C15H24N2O), Aloperine, sparteine, N-methylcytisine, anagyrine, bap-iifoline, sophocarpine, d-matrine, d-isomatrine, d-oxymatrine, l-anagyrine, l-methyleytisine, l-baptifoline, kurarid-in, sophoranol (C15H24N2O2), sophoranhol N-oxide (C15H24N2O3), N-methylcytisine (C12H16N2O), and other alkaloids.

Flavonoids: The flavonoids contained in Sophora flavescens are mostly dihydroflavones and dihydroflavonols, and there are also flavones, isoflavones, chalcones, etc. The flavonoids separated from the total flavonoids are shown in the following table: norkurarinone (norkurarinone, C25H28O6), kuraridinol, kurarinol, neo-kurarinol, norkurarinol, isokurarinone, rinon, C26H30O6); maackiain (C16H12O5); 4-methoxy-maackiain (C17H14O6); trifolirhizin (C22H22O10); nor-anhydroicaritin (C20H18O6); sophoraflavanone B (C20H20O5); formoronetin (C16H12O4); xanthohumol, isoxanthohunol, 3,4`5-tri-7-methoxy-8-prenylkeamferol, etc. Stems and leaves contain luteolin-7-glucoside.

Fatty acids and volatile oils: 20 fatty acid components have been identified from Sophora flavescens, mainly unsaturated fatty acids, accounting for 72.79% of the total fatty acids, of which linoleic acid has a relative content of 48.95%. 47 components have been identified in Sophora flavescens volatile oils.
